2006-2007 Scholarships

The Savage Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the following recipients for the Savage Chamber Scholarships in the amount of $500 each:

• Nicholas Laursen, Burnsville High School
• Mari Mills, Burnsville High School
• Amanda Lloyd, Prior Lake High School
• Katie Broadwell, Prior Lake High School

These students were selected from 16 applicants and were selected based on their essay written about how they would get involved in our community following their education, the different types of participation and leadership activities they are involved with and their academic achievements.   It was a very impressive field of applicants!  

 The recipients and their parents were invited to the June Member Meeting for a formal presentation of their scholarship checks.   Thank you to Cal’s Market and Garden Center, Market Works, D.Fong’s Chinese Cuisine, First Community Bank and Villa’s by Mary T and numerous anonymous donors for the contributions this past year to the scholarship fund. 

2006-2007 Scholarship Donations

Thank you to our businesses who have supported the scholarship program through the Savage Chamber of Commerce.

The Savage Chamber of Commerce Business Scholarship Fund is on ongoing program that will again be awarding scholarships to graduating seniors in both ISD 191 and ISD 719 for the 2006-2007 school year. Scholarship presentations will be given at our June Member Meeting. Please consider giving $25, $50, or $100 to the scholarship fund. It’s as simple as including it with your annual dues payment or sending us a check. If you would like to help a graduating senior you can send a donation to the Savage Chamber, 14141 Glendale Rd, Suite 210, Savage, MN 55378. Please designate on your check “Scholarship Fund”. Each month, we will print the names of the businesses that have made donations to this scholarship fund.

The Chamber Scholarship Fund is an ongoing program that businesses and individuals can donate to at any time.
